Crowds of shoppers gathered to watch a live dinosaur experience at St George’s Shopping Centre in Preston this weekend.

St George’s played host to a 17ft long t-rex and its baby dinosaurs as they roamed the walkways and wowed spectators with their realistic features.

The dinosaur experience forms part of the summer fun line-up of free entertainment taking place at St George’s Shopping Centre during the school holidays.

Shoppers have already been serenaded by eight-foot-tall Titan the Robot and amused by entertainer Tricky this summer. Tricky will be returning on August 26 from 1pm with comedy, fun and magic for families to get involved in.

Andrew Stringer, general manager at St George’s Shopping Centre, said: “We know keeping the kids entertained over the school holidays can be expensive, so we created an action-packed line up of events to keep the youngsters happy.

“The dinosaurs were one of our key events and the turnout was brilliant, they proved to be a huge hit with Preston families.”
