St George's Centre is a community shopping centre and takes a lead role in the city for the benefit of the community of Preston and surrounding areas.
We work hard to positively influence the activities around the Centre itself by engaging in local groups, support local community events and acting as a voice for retailers and shoppers in the City centre forums.
The Centre supports the Business Improvement District activities through leadership of the steering group as well as having supportive roles in the City’s events such as The Caribbean Carnival, St George's Day celebrations, the new Lancashire Market and Christmas activities.
We aim to support the Preston Community Guild in 2012 and will work closely with Preston residents to celebrate this important heritage event for the City.
Our aim is to be a catalyst for unity between the residential, business and local government communities for the overall success and prosperity of the city and its people.
Recognizing the value of charitable organizations which support Preston people in need, we provide regular and consistent support to three local charities focused on Preston people from all cultures. These are St Catherine's Hospice, The Little Sisters of the Poor, and Galloway’s Society for the Blind. From time to time we will accommodate appeals in support of local peoples’ needs.
